Personality:
🕷️ Starting off with Miles' intelligence and academic potential, the kid is smart and greatly promising. In the beginning of Into the Spiderverse, Miles is caught getting zeros on his exams but on purpose since he knew all the correct answers (and his teacher realized this) and wanted to leave for feeling too pressured. Sure he got to go to a prestigious school because of a winning lottery ticket, but he also passed the entrance exam on his own!
🕷️ Miles is also artistic and with that, very creative. During his free time he draws, creates his own stickers to slap his mark around Brooklyn, spray paints a hidden wall to express what he's feeling in regards to his new school (which in its own right says a lot and even designs his own spider costume once he's ready to wear the spider man mantel.
🕷️ He's sometimes caught between being academic and being artistic; Miles is still trying to figure out who he is, rebels against the pressure as teens do, and begins dealing with great responsibilities and expectations from the people he loves vs what he wants and loves. This causes him to at first attempt to hide to just be a normal kid (which only makes him shine and stick out more), then later, when he discovers that he will be the next spider man— holy crap is that a lot! He wants to run, but his strong sense of morality and what is right or wrong wins out. He's empathetic, humble, and wants to prove himself and will do everything in his power to, and this ends up exerting even more pressure to fill some very big shoes and public doubt.
🕷️ Generally, Miles is social and often uses a lot of humor to communicate and make friends. He's endearingly goofy both in expression and body language, and he's got a big heart that in the end, knows what to do. He's warm and likable, seen to have many friends from his old school and shimmering popularity on the street. Very few people dislike Miles, and Miles makes a sweet effort to be liked that sometimes may even look effortless, simply for being himself.
Abilities:
spider sense: a sixth sense that will let miles know of any immediate danger about to happen. it also goes off if there are other spider people around.
spider physiology: miles has greater strength, agility, durability, reflexes and gymnastic prowess as a spider would have! he can also stick to walls and other surfaces.
venom strike: manifested by an electric shock that can throw people back and/or destroy resistant substances such as webbing.
camouflage: miles can make himself and the clothes he's wearing invisible! this usually happens when he's frightened by something.
Inventory: his cell phone, the "goober" (a pen drive), a single web slinger and the clothes on his back (which is ridiculously a party city-grade halloween spider man costume)
Samples: sample one, sample two (using the tdm prompts but sticking them here because i may be a little too late for the tdm :()

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN (NEW ARRIVALS)
and that was the trigger to break free. miles' voice is muffled into a confused bark when he finds himself dumped into a pile of seeds. wait. this is . . . a grain silo. ]
Uhhhh . . . . Ohh . . . Kay? Am I actually in Kansas?
[ imagine the irony! but looking around him, he uh . . . needs to get out. after pulling his party mask down and various attempts to stick to the wall (and falling, halfway, again, or getting stuck, then falling), miles pep talks himself into what feels like hours of trying until he miraculously makes it to the top.
oh. woah. this is definitely not any version of brooklyn. unless it's zelda brooklyn? does that exist in the multiverse? could it? like hot damn it could, but here's the thing: he's got to find a way back to his home.
miles asks around, realizes he's not alone, and. may need a moment to take this all in. aldrip? some hours away by foot. well, he best start making friends, and does so by clearing his voice and directing his humor to the closest person next to him. ]
Soooo . . . Do you think we'll find some good drip there?
[ that was supposed to be a joke. please laugh. ]
'Cause, y'know, Aldrip . . . And I could use some new . . . Drip.
[ tough crowd. ]
PLEASE PARTY RESPONSIBLY
he just can't have that. if this was his fault, he was the one that had to fix it.
so there's a certain urgency in talking to people left and right in aldrip once miles has gotten some better attire for him (and kept his costume, just in case), but every time is a frustrating letdown. something along the lines of you can't just leave and that he has some . . . crime to pay for.
he knows which one. every time he thinks about it, it feels like his heart is earning a stab.
one conversation led to another, which led him to somewhere quieter and better suited for talking, until that place was too quiet and miles was roped into helping around at the infirmary. he's seen not doing much, then promptly given a tray and some goods and would gladly appreciate his help despite miles' attempt to explain but i don't know how to—
and here they are.
but it's then that miles complies that he realizes . . . the injured resting here, needing help, and well. maybe he wasn't expecting to help people in this manner, but he quickly accepts the task. each person he stops by to, to dab their wounds and change their bandages, he asks with a soft, quiet concern: ]
What happened here—?
